The most adorable new Chanel flats, perfect for long walks all over London and bike rides through the cobbled streets of Cambridge. Aren’t they just begging to be taken to Paris in the Springtime?

Please forgive my blogging hiatus this week; since I returned from Berlin late last week, I’ve been in a hectic whirlwind. I’ve packed up my house and moved to a new flat in a different neighbourhood of Cambridge (where I won’t have internet until the end of the week) Had almost daily tests for some mystery lung/heart troubles (nothing debilitating, but enormously frustrating to say the least), & my day job has been more stressful than I’ve ever known it to be (it’s not been a happy week in politics from where I’m standing).

But not wanting to desert you completely, here are a few new treasures I bought a free weeks ago, when Spring was just about to burst into life. I’ve got so many new posts I’m just dying to share with you all, and promise to resume regular blogging from tomorrow when I am again with in-house wifi.

Springtime beauty buys: MAC eyeshadow in ‘Naked Lunch’, Nars ‘Laguna’ bronzer (simply the best), MAC ‘Pink Swoon’ blush, Benefit tinted moisturiser, Essie nailpolishes in ‘Bachelorette Party’ and ‘Gucci Pucci Mama’, Chanel nailpolish in ‘Lilac Sky’ (the perfect Spring colour) & rose shower gel from Liberty.

Black suede Isabel Marant ‘Poppy’ bow pumps (found thanks to a super lovely reader via Twitter, and which I’m already wearing with everything, as uncomfortable as they are…)

I dare you to find anything cuter for the lingerie drawer than Stella McCartney’s blush pink tourist knickers that say: “From London with Love” (I also bought the Paris version)

So tell me, what have the first days of Spring had you buying?

Love, Miss B xx

WANT those pumps! Oooooh, noisy moans across the Atlantic.

I actually went and spent the money in my life ever in one go…..at Neiman-Marcus, to get all gorgeous for all my upcoming book events. (My new memoir is out next Thursday and getting a ton of great reviews and press. Yay!)

Three sheath dresses; one sea blue; one black; one graphic grey and white print; three pairs of trousers; a coral knit turtleneck sleeveless; grey jersey long cardigan..The sweetie bought me black patent kitten heels to go with it all. Really excited to have so many versatile additions to my wardrobe.

Now looking for a few pairs of fab, higher-heeled shoes to go with the three dresses.

I wanted them for so long but they sold out everywhere, so was overjoyed when a reader tipped me off to a single pair in a shop in Brighton, in my size! And how fantastic, will have to hunt down your book. Congratulations!

OMG, I love everything!! Two great pairs of shoes.

My recent purchases have been two nice little binges at the Chanel counter (Taupe Grise eye shadow, Jersey Rose lipstick, Pearl Drop nail polish, eyelid primer, eyebrow pencil, Grise Scintillante eye pencil), a St-James Breton top in the same style as Picasso wore, a loose navy tank top covered in navy matte sequins from J.Crew, skinny khaki slacks cropped to the ankle from J.Crew, … and I think that may be it. At my office, everyone dresses like they just robbed a J.C. Penney, so it’s really quite a drag … but I persevere and uphold the standard! :o)

I’m going to San Francisco in two months and have a nice little shopping list at the ready.

Now that is an impressive Chanel beauty counter haul! And big kudos to you for maintaining the sartorial standards against the force of underdressed colleagues!

    I. Love. Those. Shoes. And I might try that blush as I’m on the lookout for a new one.
All I have managed to buy in preparation for spring is a large bottle of Pimms and some foxgloves for the garden. Now I just need the perfect spring outfit to sit in my garden and enjoy!

This is a lovely shade of blush (petal pink and matte), though I’d also recommend MAC’s Dolly Mix (looks almost neon-bright in the pot, but incredibly flattering on) or Nars Orgasm.

And I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t think of anything more perfect to start your Spring shopping than Pimms and foxgloves – bliss!

I love Stella McCartney underwear, the Chanel nail polish looks lovely too, I don’t think I’ve seen that one before. I haven’t really made any spring-like purchases yet, I need to do something about that soon!

I adore the Chanel flats! I must agree they are perfect for walks around London. Recently I have been purchasing lots of lovely pleated skirts for summer and beautifully cut white tee’s (inspired by Jil Sander!).
Really hope your feeling better soon and everything is OK
    Much love x

Thank you so much Vikki! And I bought the Stella from Net-a-Porter (sadly now sold out), but I also saw them in Liberty and Possibly Selfridges. Have sent Stella a tweet to check if they know of any left, so will let you know.

I just love the Isabel Marant shoes. I was shopping with a friend in NY who looked at a similar pair in the Marant store in SoHo, in an electric blue colour – also divine, and perfect for Spring.

In NY Spring is still around the corner, but I have bought some very pale pink lingerie from Maison Close to usher in the warmer weather on a very personal level, at least ๐Ÿ™‚

Cutest post!!! Love it all. Specially the pumps. Totally the kind of shoe I would have on all spring.
But, sorry to hear abou the heart/lung thing. Even if it’s nothing serious I know it’s not fun even doing test, so fingers crossed it turns out to be a minor minor issue, one of those things yoga retreat can cure (and then you post about it :-)).

    kisses lovely!

Thank you so much lovely. And I thought of you today – finally found a pair of bright peachy pink jeans (which I’m wearing slouchy and rolled up) on Net-a-Porter and teamed them today with the Isabel Marant pumps. Instant happiness in an outfit!

You have such impeccable taste. I love it when I get your posts in my email. Those Chanel flats are beautiful, perfect for summer, and they look so chic, and cute.

I love the make up photograph. The Chanel polish looks nice, reminds me of last Spring’s colours from Chanel but slightly more demure in an elegant way. I’ve heard that You Rebel stuff is meant to be ready good?

The bow pumps are excellent, I love the photo; towering on Vogue, and the zip detailing on your bottoms – excellent.

I bought a new uber-camera which means my spring/summer wardrobe will be limited my pre-camera purchases of Chanel’s Miami Peach polish, a sequinned headband from Anthropologie and some home-made silk georgette kickers. But I will wear my camera every day, so the PPW is, oh, $1 ; )
