Happy Easter Everyone!

Easter bunnies in our household this morning

Growing up, Easter was always one of my favourite days of the year – with marvellous chocolate egg hunts in the garden (my mother would go to great lengths to find the best eggs in the land, and hide them in all my favourite flower beds around the house. I was entirely convinced the Easter Bunny loved me!), family feasts, games on the back lawn and decorating fresh eggs from our chickens.

While I don’t have any family here in Cambridge, I’m making new traditions with my Cambridge ‘family’. The Clever Boyfriend and I are blissfully soaking up the sunshine and downtime the 4-day weekend presents, and one of my best friends in the world has flown back from California just in time to come over to our place and be stuffed with hot cross buns and chocolate. Afterwards, we’re going for a walk along the gorgeous lanes behind my house (Cambridge has a wonderful knack of making you feel as though you’re in the middle of the countryside just two minutes from anywhere) to squeel with delight at all the baby bunnies that are hopping about in all the hedgerows (with a pocketful of chocolate for the road, obviously).

So to all those who celebrate it, wherever you are in the world, I hope you’re having a simply wonderful Easter weekend!

Love, Miss B xx
