February in Pictures

Peaceful weekends spent wandering around Cambridge. Fairy floss sunsets at the end of grey days. Rainy Saturday afternoon trips to the V&A museum for regal history and romantic artists. Sitting in Granger & Co for hours on rainy weekends for the best ricotta hotcakes and conversations about life with dear friends. The fact the city of London is still steeped in pomp, ceremony and British tradition (being waylaid in the most wonderful way by daily parades of royal horseguards whilst going about my business in Westminster). Pretending to be Holly Golightly and peering in the windows at gobstopper diamonds in decades old jewellery stores on Piccadilly. Climbing to the top of Big Ben and feeling like Peter Pan whilst standing inside a larger-than-life clock face with panoramic views over London as the bells chime 12. Ignoring the flu with treats and sparkly things for my 29th birthday.  Appreciating every day acts of romance and celebrating 7 years with my Clever Boyfriend. Afternoon tea at Sketch.

Winter finally showing itself with days and days of fluffy white snow in Cambridge. BUilding bejwelled snowmen, having snow fights and making new snow day traditions with my boyfriend. Twinkly jewels, glittery nails and blush pink bow-tied booties in the snow. Hibernating indoors in the most blissfully decadent ways. The warm glow of a house filled with scented candlelight (wild rhubarb a current favourite). Maintaining my love for old-fashioned mail with beautiful Rifle cards and handwritten notes to friends afar. Throwing afternoon tea parties for two for no reason other than it being a Sunday.

Beautiful illustrated shoe art, a gift from Christian Louboutin for my birthday. Having a ‘pinch me’ moment by being invited to the Elle Style Awards for cocktails beneath golden palm trees, dinner with London’s A-list and a night of unadulterated glamour. An invitation to cocktails at Tiffany on Old Bond Street. My delightful new silver Cambridge Satchel Co. satchel to bridge the path between winter and spring. Dreaming of a wardrobe filled with Miu Miu. 5 days of sitting beside all my favourite fashion icons, watching the Autumn/Winter collections and getting to wear all my most fabulous accessories for my fifth season of London Fashion Week.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful February!

Love, Miss B xx

  6. I visited London a couple of weeks ago and my cousin took me to Sketch. They have a really awesome glamour style restroom in there and I also heard that they have another one that’s made of pods, which I didn’t get the chance to see because the area that it was in was closed off to the public.
