Hello lovelies, and welcome to my dreamworld. My name is Briony Whitehouse, though most of you just know me as ‘Miss B’.
Though I call myself Australian, I now divide my time between London (where I’m usually to be found spending too much money at Mulberry, trawling Liberty or Portobello Road for vintage jewels and treasures, or running around Whitehall doing political things) and Cambridge (where I live with my Clever Boyfriend, happily daydreaming by the river, exploring ancient colleges that look like they belong in Harry Potter, or riding my Pashley bicycle down leafy country lanes).
Don’t be deceived by my day job (I stomp around Westminster as a senior political advisor; I’m probably the only girl to write speeches in 4″ glittery Miu Miu heels); I like to see the world through rose-tinted glasses and spend my days indulging my wonderland fantasies of all things beautiful, delicious, fragrant and fashionable. I view life as one giant treasure hunt; I seek out small luxuries and everyday pleasures to make each day that little bit more wonderful and sparkly.
Join me as I find ways to make life a little more charming, explore Londontown and the world, share with you my latest treasures and delicious finds, and discover new adventures to make me smile. While I might be paid to play hardball, I unashamedly romanticise life and take sheer delight in the small luxurious pleasures in life.
I love: Looking at the world through rose-tined glasses. Exploring new places. Sitting in teeny tiny cafes with a flat white and a pile of magazines. The red sole of new Louboutins. Taking photos of beautiful things that catch my eye. The lights dimming at Fashion Week. The first bite of a Laduree macaron or pastries for breakfast in Paris. Buying a new pink lipstick or a stack of gorgeous stationery at Liberty. Giant bunches of spring flowers. Buttercup yellow bags from Selfridges filled with new treats. Picnics under a blue sky. Cambridge punting at sunset. My drawers full of jewels. The lights dimming at the theatre. The beautifully-fragranced glow of Diptyque candles. London museums or hibernating indoors on rainy days. Small fluffy animals. Watching Sex and the City in bed. Pear cocktails or hazelnut lattes. Rummaging on Portobello Road on an early Spring morning. Brown paper packages or black Net-a-Porter boxes arriving in the mail. Marc Jacobs perfume. Piles of books beside my bed. Chanel brooches.

hello, I think the internet lost my way and I accidentally came across your blog and just loved it. It was like taking a breath of fresh air.
