While I would never dare claim to be in the same realm as Miss Wintour or Mr Schuman, I like to think that I revel in the dreamworld of fashion, culture, food, and travel with the same passion and pleasure as the professional style-setters.
I take pleasure in afternoon tea and couture at Liberty, the lights dimming at a Fashion Week show, the slow burn of a Diptyque candle, the flavour explosion of a rose macaron with violet tea, opening a box of new Marc Jacobs shoes or the glint of a Chanel brooch. I like to visit museums on a rainy day, tiny bookshops that smell like ancient libraries, watch the National Ballet’s Nutcracker at Christmas, or have a rummage on Portobello Road on an early Spring morning.
