The Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace
With all this glorious weather we’ve been having, the days are so deliciously long and balmy that it would be simply rude to not get out and make the most of them. Several evenings a week, i’ve been making the most of my London location and heading straight from my desk to St James Park (one of my favourite of all of London’s lovely parks).
I either head past Big Ben and Westminster Abbey and stroll up the side of the park past the Treasury, Downing St and the Foreign Office (passing a dapper diplomat or two – complete with their three-piece suits, bowler hats and tobacco pipes – along the way) for a meander around the West End, or otherwise, stroll straight through the park, perhaps stop for a picnic or to feed the ducklings, pass Buckingham Palace (where, if she’s in, I might have tea with Her Maj), and head through Green Park to the backstreets of Mayfair where I can happily get lost for hours.
In my opinion, the best time to enjoy such walks is during the week when everyone else has rushed home from work, the parks are peaceful and tourist-free, and you can just stop to appreciate the gorgeous light of a sunset over London. Do you think the Queen especially commissions skies this beautiful to watch from the window of her dining room at supper time?
What do you like doing during the week when everyone else is at home?
Love, Miss B xx

I love shopping when everyone else is home or at work! There’s no queues-although it’s safe to say I’m happy to shop any time of the time. Beautiful sunset shots B! 🙂 x
