As Shakespeare wrote, summer’s lease hath all too short a date. All too quickly the long days of the English summer are fading away and I’ve been taking every opportunity to savour the last balmy moments before they give way to cosy Autumnal days.
Cambridge in the summertime is a magical place, and the past two weeks have been a happy blur of picnics, garden parties, bicycle rides, lazing by the river in Cambridge, watching Shakespearean plays in the Cambridge fellows gardens (the most glorious secret gardens one could imagine), an evening of cocktails and big cats at the London Zoo, and of giving the summer wardrobe one last hurrah.
How have you spent the last days of the season?
Love, Miss B xx

I absolutely cannot believe that it’s September! Oh woooow. Before we know it, it will be 2011.
I’ve been spending my days with great morning walks. 🙂 My best friend is visiting out of Chicago this weekend, so I’m sure she especially will be soaking up the last of summer all she can while she’s here – that means brunch outdoors, hiking in Griffith Park, and perhaps browsing the Getty. <3

Lucky you, it’s already getting chilly here in France 🙁 I love gardens in bloom too, and my Chanel N°19 fragrance will make up for the lack of them in some way.
I love your last 2 pictures!
