Sass & Bide at the Royal Opera House, remarkable silk chiffon accordion pleats at Corrie Nielsen.
The first day of London Fashion Week is somewhat of a warm-up day before the madness of the weekend’s schedule begins. For me, the day began with Corrie Neilsen – one of my favourite shows last season – who again, with her tour-de-force of impeccable origami-inspired folds and sculptural details, demonstrated just why she is one of our most promising new designers.
After that, we whizzed back to Somerset House in our shiny car (thank you, Mercedes, for saving our feet during Fashion Week), where it was on to Caroline Charles, Bora Aksu (who’s 3D florals were really rather something), Maria Grachvogel at the Savoy, Jean-Pierre Braganza (who I was pleasantly surprised by, after hating that show last season), Sass and Bide and Felder Felder. I signed off for the day with Louise Amstrup’s beautiful presentation, before dashing across Dover Street for dinner at Automat with a collection of lovely fashion friends.
But I would be lying if I didn’t say the highlight was making a mad dash to Miu Miu on Bond Street between shows to make those glittery booties mine (resistance eventually proved futile).
Slinky coral dresses at Jean-Pierre Braganza, Orla Kiely’s adorable poolside-themed presentation, our shiny Fashion Week car (thank you, Mercedes!), a mad dash through the LFW presentation to peek at Mary Katrantzou’s spectacular designs up-close.
Did you attend or follow London Fashion Week? I’d love to hear your highlights if so.
Love, Miss B xx

Hooray! I’ve been waiting for your diary from LFW since I enjoyed your tweets during Fashion Week.
There’s a slight expectation for the separate (special) entry about your Miu Miu booties…

Oooh I saw Michael van der Ham, was lovely, and saw Cristina Sabaiduc off schedule, quite unusual but very interesting

Ahhh! I didn’t realize you bought the Miu Miu heels on the first day of fw! That is soo funny! How on earth did you even manage to squeeze in a shopping trip with all those shows?! Seriously coveting those bad boys… they are SO FREAKING GORGEOUS. Must meet for coffee when I’m next around so I can stroke them lovingly… xx
