I must confess, I’m struggling to function today after getting home from a weekend in Paris at 2:30 this morning (thanks to a delayed Eurostar). For now, I’m happily swathed in cashmere and consolling myself with the blissful memories of a weekend spent strolling the cobbled streets of Paris.
Until I can string a proper sentence together, I’ll leave you with this glimpse of my usual pilgramage to The Mothership (ie. Chanel HQ at 31 Rue Cambon). I’ve spoken before of my tradition of marking special moments and happy travels with little treasures as souvenirs of my trip, so I just couldn’t go to Paris without a visit to Chanel.
Wearing: Chanel bag, necklace and sunglasses; vintage crystal necklace; Jersey Pearl necklace; French Connection Breton top; H&M hair bowDo you have a place you have to visit whenever you go to a favourite city?
P.S. I can’t wait to share a new Parisian discovery – a little gem of a shop on the Left Bank that is a veritable treasure trove of vintage Chanel and Hermes archive pieces. More on that soon.
Love, Miss B xx

Looks like you had a perfect weekend away! Love your instagram photos – Paris in the sunshine is truly beautiful! Can’t wait to see what treasures you bought. De xx
P.S I had friends get stuck in Rome last night because of the London fog – wasn’t a great evening to be travelling!

It was the most wonderful weekend (I have SO many posts to share from just 3 days away!). And can’t believe how lucky I was with the weather – glorious blue skies and mild November temperatures (I only needed my coat occasionally) the whole weekend!

Fun visit to the shrine…have you read any of the biographies about her? What a life she led!
When in London, I always visit Liberty. In Paris, the Marais. In my hometown of Toronto, a coffee shop from the 1960s called The Coffee Mill, which serves goulash, strudel and great coffees. I love re-visiting my much younger self…

I’ve read one or two, but have more waiting to be read on my bookshelf. What a character she was!
And I love everything you’ve listed – Liberty is my favourite store in London, and Marais my favourite Parisian district (love the sound of the coffee shop too). Thank you as always for your wonderful comments!

Very much looking forward to the full post… in the mean time, please please divulge which lotion or potion you are wearing on your cheeks? I’m on the hunt for the perfect blush and it looks just lovely!
agirlastyle says
Oh, why thank you! This is a combination of Mac’s ‘Dolly Mix’ blush (looks scarily bright in the pan, but gives every single complexion the most wonderful rosy glow) and the happy flush of being in Paris 😉

I live in Sydney and can’t get back to my favourite city (Portland, OR) for awhile, but when I do I will visit Powell’s books, Little Big Burger, and Buffalo Exchange (clothing exchange) which are all within a couple blocks from each other. The perfect day!
agirlastyle says
Oh this sounds just lovely! If I ever get to Portland I’ll be sure to visit all of these!

Oh, Paris *sigh*. I wish I was only a 2hr train ride away. My one week there this past summer was simply not enough time to enjoy all that this beautiful city has to offer. Living vicariously through all your updates will have to do for now, though 🙂

I must say, the proximity to Europe and the idea of being able to pop to these fantastic places on weekends was a big drawcard in my decision to move to England! Happy to share my adventures for you to live through 😉
