Perfume and macarons. Rainy day morning tea dates at Laduree. Doing my seasonal wardrobe detox and organisation and re-discovering forgotten Miu Miu treasures. Shiny patent ballet flats with bows on the toes and crystal-studded heels. Adding a dash of sparkle to dreary autumnal mornings. Weekend adventures in Notting Hill. Dreaming of a pastel townhouse of my own. Vintage treasure-hunting on Portobello Road. High heels and the sort of ladylike skirts that make you want to twirl. Stocking up on Rifle Paper Co stationery at Selfridges and ending handwritten appreciation notes. The perfect pink Chanel polish.
All the glamour of London Fashion Week. The thrill of the lights dimming, the musing blaring and the sound of a hundred camera shutters as the first model steps on to the runway. The most adorably sweet Orla Kiely presentation (Moonrise Kingdom meets 70s Girl Guides on safari). Pink on every runway; yes please! Panoramic views over London from the top of Heron Tower for the chic de la chic Whistles show. Every single thing at Mulberry (always my favourite show of the season) – from the teeny tiny miniature Wedgwood teacup invitations, to the English manor house theme (Emma Hill must have taken here inspiration from my post here), to the floral short suits on the runway to the decadent Claridges afternoon tea for breakfast. Glamourous parties at Kensington Palace. Pink champagne and weeknight dress-ups with my friend Charlotte. The smell of Estee Lauder’s new Modern Muse fragrance. The Fashion Rules exhibition and dreaming of being a Princess in the 50s just so I can wear a tiara and those wildly wonderful pastel silk dresses. A few of my favourite things for September.
Finally adding the perfect classic trench coat to my wardrobe (specifically, this version by Coach) and throwing it over all my summer outfits for those first, crisp days of autumn. Bike rides and walks along the river as the leaves turn slowly golden. Coffee dates at Fitzbillies (the best flat whites in Cambridge). Big armfuls of pink garden hydrangeas. Chilly autumnal mornings and candy floss evening sunsets. Berry manicures and Chanel jewels. The perfect nudes from Tom Ford. Picking punnets of blackberries from the wild brambles around Cambridge. Cocktail hour at home. Cambridge looking like a perfect postcard as always. The first autumn leaves.
I hope you all had a lovely month!
Love, Miss B xx

I love all of these pictures – so pink and pretty! They have definitely cheered me up from this depressing English weather, especially that picture of Cambridge with the pink sky 🙂
