A Girl, A Style

Mulmerry, pt. 2: The Blush Bow Booties

Style 15 May 2011

20

Continuing Mulberry May on here, I thought I’d show you another of my recent acquisitions: these deliciously girly blush pink bow booties. When they arrived on my doorstop right on my birthday (a gift from the brand themselves – probably in part for being the biggest Mulberry fan girl around), there were actual squeels of glee. I don’t think there could be a prettier birthday present to open, and the fact the bows on these make my feet look like presents tied up with ribbon panders to several of my shoe fantasies (in case there was any doubt, you can see my previous declaration of love for bows on my toes here).

They seem utterly perfect for Springtime; whimsical, powder pink, super high and just the ride side of coquettish. I’ve been wearing them as often as possible, with black skinny jeans and silk shirts, or with a tan, bare legs and dresses – less is certainly better when it comes to shoes so ostentatiously over-the-top. That said, I’m not going to pretend they’re in any way practical – heaven help them should the heavens open and puddles appear anywhere near their pretty silk bows…

Am I the only one who insists on collecting shoes I adore, despite their blatant impracticality? And I’m curious to know what you would wear these beribboned lovelies with (tips welcome).

Love, Miss B xx

I shouldn’t have looked… Now I really really want them. I’d wear this powdery perfection with every full knee length (or above) skirt and dress in my wardrobe… They just make me want to dance and be flirty and girly 24/7… Sort of “I wanna dance all niiiiiiight… I wanna daaaance all night…” kinda dancing queen. 🙂

Ooh, I hadn’t thought of that – they are just calling for a floaty chiffon maxi (or slim jersey) skirt. Thanks for the suggestion lovely!

I’m SO jealous, you lucky thing!! Mulberry gift from Mulberry, can’t get better than that! and they’re such a pretty colour, I bet they make you feel like a Princess! I’d probably wear them with skinny black jeans and a plain white tee, let the boots do the talking! XX

Those shoes are absolutely AMAZING! I am all about buying beautiful, unpractical-to-walk-in shoes that sit on my mantlepiece as ornaments!

Oh wow… they are utterly beautiful. No wonder you adore them… and what a wonderful birthday gift..I think I would have cried! Apart from the obvious answer of wearing them with everything, I would pair them with a tan leather skirt and the softest cream cashmere sweater for early spring. A true picture of 100% divine! xxx

Oh my… what beautiful, blush coloured booties. I love the word blush – so pretty and perfect – and I think it really captures the colour of these boots well. I hope you are enjoying them very, very much.

Aren’t those the loveliest booties ever?! Obviously, they go with everything too being nude. Endless possibilities!
