Hello my lovelies! I’m so excited to welcome you all to my shiny new blog home. In honour of my blog’s two year anniversary, and the fact I now have more readers than I ever could have imagined (I love every single one of you!), I thought it was only right I do a bit of redecorating to match.*
Just a few notes of housekeeping:
1) There’s no way to know if everything on this new version will run smoothly. I’m sure there will be a few kinks (and do let me know if anything seems funny on your browser), but I’ll work to get everything smoothed out as quickly as possible.
2) Unfortunately in the transfer process, I’ve lost most of my lovely subscribers. If you love A Girl, A Style (and I hope that’s why you’re here!), then please do head over to the ‘subscribe’ box in the sidebar and enter your email address to get all my posts straight to your inbox. And don’t forget you can also find me on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Bloglovin’.
3) As most of you know, I don’t get paid to write this blog (I have a full-time day job which pays the rent), and all the time I put into A Girl, A Style is done out of love. That won’t change a bit; I will always write only about that which I love, care about or believe in. But because the new site has (not insignificant) running costs of it’s own, I hope you won’t be too upset if you see an occasional ad or affiliate link pop up here to help cover that. I promise there won’t be anything ugly, intrusive or out of character (I’ll only allow ads from brands I’d shop with myself).
I can’t wait to hear what you all think of the new look! Please do feel free to comment/tweet /email suggestions for what you’d like to see on here. What are your favourite things? What could you do without?
* A huge thank you to the very talented Maya Beus for making the site pretty and generally helping me translate what my new site looked like in my head to a fully functioning new site. Couldn’t have done it without her!

Baby cakes! This is BRILLIANT. Oh me, oh my… this fits with the aesthetic of your blog and personality so well. Is it weird that I feel super proud of you for making the switch?
It’s such a tough thing to do – ESPECIALLY when you know you’ll lose followers from a certain medium (were you on blogger before?). When I switched from Blogger to WordPress I lost all my blogger followers (which was my main stream of traffic) it’s scary but it’s worth it because long term this is so much stronger.
Massive CONGRATULATIONS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the blog. It’s always so wonderful to see how blogs develop… and as our blogs are (roughly) similar ages it makes it even MORE FUN.

I think there needs to be a greater margin (especially on the LHS) between the blog post text and the border. (I’m looking in Chrome if that helps). And seconded re. the domain name! Finally the sidebar fonts don’t seem to tie with the main font of the post – sans serif in the sidebar vs serif in the main post?
Otherwise it all looks great and I love the illustrations 🙂

Love the new layout, especially the lovely images that glide in when you hover over the links below.
The text in each post now seems to be its own image, though — I can’t highlight any of the text. I understand that it might be a way to prevent people from stealing your stuff (which I totally understand, but hope doesn’t happen to you!), but I’m just curious if that’s intentional.
Again, it looks wonderful, and I know I’ll continue to enjoy A Girl, A Style.

It fits your blog perfectly and I have a slight obsession with it 🙂 the only downside I noticed about it was that it took much longer for me to open your sight than usual but my internet connection is not running slow for any other site besides your blog 🙁 just thought I would let you know!

I am not able to access the ipad site, have you gotten rid of it? Because, as great as this new site is, i really enjoyed the iPad site. But the new layout here is fantastic too!
