April Showers

Lifestyle 22 April 2012

33

I don’t know what it’s like in your corner of the world, but here in England the sun does not want to put his hat on. Instead, the weather is choosing to be grey and drizzly each day and the pavements are embellished with glistening puddles. While I wait for spring to make it’s sunny return (spring, if you’re reading, I’d love that to be soon if you could possibly manage it), these are my favourite ways to find cheer when skies are grey:

Lulu Guinness birdcage umbrella, scarlet Hunter wellingtons, Benefit PosieTint, Burberry trench coat.

What are your favourite ways to cheer up rainy days?

Love, Miss B xx

Here in New York City we’ve had beautiful spring weather but this Sunday rain has fallen non-stop. In that case I usually comfort myself by cozying up at home and lighting my favorite candles by Diptyque, Cire Trudon and The Hype Noses.

Living in Rome, rainy days are to me as precious as the sunny ones in London. Like you,I like to go out in trench and wellies and enjoy them. Although, I’m not sure I’d love rain this much if I had to deal with it almost everyday, like Brits do.. Hope spring will be back soon for you (and your bow heels) to enjoy!

In Brisbane, Australia, the weather couldn’t be better. Autumn is a wonderful season here and I just love to get outside and garden my days away. Warm days and cool nights! MMMMM!! Don’t even need my Wellies! Yee Haa!

Definitely need this post to inspire with another week of rain ahead – gorgeous! And I love the scene at the end of Breakfast At Tiffanys where Holly Golightly is searching for Cat in the pouring rain. I also have a tip for happy time in the rain – take a Small Child along for jumping in puddles…never fails! xxx

I love the pink Hunter wellies I am in need of a new pair, and fresh flowers in the house always make me smile. Great inspiration on another wet day!

Loving the “wrap yourself in a cute trench and pretend you’re Holly Golightly” step! Too cute! I hope the sun decides to make an appearance soon!

I can 100% agree with you. The Sun really isn’t playing ball at the moment here either (Surrey). But at least my wellies are getting some good use.

My favourite thing to do on a rainy day is put on the biggest, fluffiest, jumper I can find, and cuddle up on the couch with a mug of coffee or a good book! ๐Ÿ™‚
Btw, I love the way you write! You manage to make even rainy days seem pretty.

    awww….cute as a buttoned-up trench coat.

Weather in Sydney has also been dreary – so we can all join in with a happy sun dance together

This is so cute!! I love to wear BRIGHT colors when it’s raining so it doesn’t seem so dreary! I’m trying to find the perfect pair of multicolor wellies – maybe with polka dots!

I love your sense of femininity and positivity in combating the rainy weathers!!! It has been raining heavily over here as well, along with lightening and thunder!!! ARghhh…..

But these tips will definitely come in handy. I agree with the brolly, i always look for stylish and pretty brollies which i always find a tad bit silly as it’s just to hide under the rain but whatever makes you happy eh? lol

Believe it or not, i do not own a pair of wellies and i so need to do something about that! I saw some people wearing heeled wellies but i really think it’s crazy, in the safety sense.

I see a lot of bloggers who buy flowers and i’ve seen you displaying yours beautifully in your blog posts too, yet some how i never get around in doing it. I hope to be doing this every now and then as well to brighten up any blue days!!!

And the last tip on your list, a good old movie at home while tucked under your duvet is always the best!!!=D

Thanks for the inspiration,Miss. B!!!!!! Hope you’re having a fab – non rainy weekend!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
