As regular readers will know, I have a serious designer weakness. But because I have a normal person’s salary which is somewhat at odds with my Upper East Side tastes, I’ve become rather skilled at hunting down my favourite brands at bargainous sale prices (in fact, I hardly ever pay full price for something). Because, after all, if something is both beautifully made and of such heart-stopping beauty, then that won’t change just because it’s a season out of date.
I had been meaning to go to Bicester Village for ever since I moved to England (I’d driven past on several visits to Oxford and stared in wonder at the shoppers leaving laden with designer shopping bags), and finally made my first trip in May. And oh, was it good. So good in fact, that I made a second trip there this weekend to escape the London tourists in favour of a spot of treasure-hunting. 
Bicester Village is essentially a perfectly manicured outdoor shopping strip boasting designer (and a good number of high street) outlet stores aplenty. Me being me, I began at the Mulberry outlet (where I picked up a pair of £300 golden flats for £50, and a gold charm bracelet for £100) and then popped to Anya Hindmarch (a darling little metallic pink card purse for £20 down from £120), Celine, Smythson (for a little stack of pink Smythson notebooks for my girlfriends), Temperley, Prada, Agent Provocateur (a bag full of decadently gorgeous silk knickers for around £15-£20 each), the L’Wren Scott pop-up, Ralph Lauren (some goodies for the Clever Boyfriend), the beauty shop (MAC lipsticks for each of my handbags) and Valentino (where it took all my strength to resist the heart-stoppingly gorgeous shoes and frothy silk dresses), by way of Searcy’s for lunch.
Items are reduced between 30-85% off and while it is largely a case of luck as to what you’ll find in each store (stock is a mix of previous season and slightly flawed current season stock), the place is literally overflowing with bargains for designer-lovers on a budget.

Gorgeous bargains and you and I have to have a girl date there very soon…I feel the need for a splurge! And when its at prices that don’t induce panic attacks then all is good! xx
Sounds like a perfect day of shopping fun. I’m especially jealous of the Agent Provocateur haul, their bags alone are worth a shopping spree! And bravo for leaving those Valentinos, doubt I would have been as strong willed..
PS. That sheep topiary is one of the most amazing things ever! I wish I could buy *that*! (I’m a real shopaholic, I know…)

I adore this shopping centre, it can be a bit hit or miss sometimes, but when you find a bargain (like my Mulberry tote at 60% off) then it’s amazing.
I’ve been wanting to go to Bicester for YEARS! Am potentially going to take my best friend as a birthday surprise next week : )
This has been on my to-do list for SO long, after seeing this I am heading there next payday. Those Valentino shoes have made me weak at the knees x

I used to love going to Bicester Village- I still have a Versace umbrella I got there. Next trip to London and we can do a trip there together B!

I moved out to Berkshire from London a year ago and have STILL got to get up to Bicester…. I even drive past it once every month on the way to my parents place so there really is NO excuse! Your post might have just pushed me to book it in – Thanks hun! 🙂

Love Bicester although it can be a bit hit and miss! Love that they have a Smythson and Mulberry store particularly. I have picked up a fair few bargains there before – I usually go a few times a year. I love The White Company store too! I tried Chester Oaks – the Northern equivalent and it was nowhere near as good! x

I’ve never been out to Bicester Village but I’m in the market for a wedding dress and I am crazy about Temperley… but I’m on a mega budget (£500 max, really!) Is it worth going out to look or am I dreaming if I think I can find something for that price? Thanks!
